A&M was founded in 1979 by Jim Markins. Jim spent time with just about every bolt outfit in town before he started our company. He learned something about service, management, and leadership at each stop along the way. Over the years he was able to store up valuable lessons from his successes and failures. Jim kept with him the spirit of service and personality when he started A&M Nut & Bolt.
Jim worked at A&M until 2001 when he retired. He is truly a man of justice and integrity who brings the best out of each of the people he works with. He passed 100% ownership to his son Brad, with whom he worked and co-managed for about 20 years.
Today A&M is owned and operated by Brad and his wife Diane. A&M Nut & Bolt has become a favorite stop among drivers and business owners alike because of the strong opinions that belong to Brad and his employees. Friendly conversation is always welcome.
